U.S. Vetoes UN Condemnation of Israeli Assault on Gaza
Hot off the wire:
Surprise, surprise!The United States cast the first U.N. Security Council veto in nearly two years Thursday, blocking an Arab-backed resolution that would have demanded Israel halt its military offensive in the Gaza Strip.
The draft, sponsored by Qatar, accused Israel of a "disproportionate use of force" that endangered Palestinian civilians, and it demanded Israel withdraw its troops from Gaza. (AP)

NO Wonder! i am not surprised coz MAMA America is the angel backing and protecting its baby....the question now how useful the UN is!!! to hell with those who waste their time hoping to get something out of the UN....15 countries were not able to issue a resolution!!shame on them
